Charge Assist

Charge Assist FAQs

Can a user export all its sessions via the app?

Yes. A user needs to go to the Sessions screen, filter the sessions it wants to export (if necessary) and tap the share icon in the top left corner of the Sessions screen.
Note. Only the sessions resulting from the filter that has been set, and were paid for using Direct Pay (i.e. MasterCard / Visa, Apple Pay or Google Pay), will be included in the overview. The export wil result in a pdf file.

Can a user Start and Stop a session in the app?

Yes. If the charge station is online of course.
To start session a user needs to navigate in the app to a charge location and select an EVSE (or connector group), and, if multiple connectors on the EVSE, select the right connector. It will show the Session management screen, with a button to start the session.
If the user has multiple payment methods available in the app, the preferred payment method is default selected.
During a session the app shows a session bar above the navigation bar. Tapping this bar will open the current session in the Session Management screen, with some data about the current session, including duration, charge volume and charge speed as numbers (and as graphs; will be released to Android and iOS soon).

How does a QR code on a charge station work?

If it is a charge station our platform, and the QR code is generated via the EV Portal, it opens the Session management screen of that EVSE. The user can either use the camera app on its device (if the Charge Assist app is installed on the device) or use the Scan QR feature in the app it self. In case of the latter, the user should give permission to the app to use the Camera of the device.
If the Charge Assist app is nit installed on the device of the user, but the user scans the QR code with a Camera app on its device, the user will be redirected to the app in the App Store or Google Play (depend on the Operating system on the device: iOS or Android). The user can then install the Charge Assist app, and scan the QR code again.

Which payment method can a user add?

The following payment methods can be added by the user in the app:

  • Mastercard or Visa cards (credit / debit/ prepaid)
  • American Express (only iOS)
  • Apple Pay (only iOS)
  • Google Pay ( only Android)
  • RFID / EV Charge Cards

When will the payment be captured from the user's card?

Before the session starts 20 EUROs (or an equivalent in another currency) is reserved on the card, to be sure that the card wil not fail the payment (e.g. card declined, or insufficient funds).
Immediately after the session, the system withdraws the costs of the session and releases the rest of the 20 EUROs.
If it is not possible to reserve the 20 EUROs, the session cannot start. The user will need to use a different card or payment method. The apps will show an error message, e.g.:
The payment method used has been declined for an unknown reason, therefore it is not possible to start the session. Please use a different payment method, or contact your card issuer for more information.

Are tariffs per EVSE including VAT?

Yes. All tariffs in the apps are including VAT.

Does a user receive an invoice after the session?

No. This is something we are investigating.

Does the Charge Assist app allow a monthly payment instead of every session?

No. This app is for Ad Hoc sessions. Therefor it is only possible to pay per session.

White label apps

Does Greenflux support the white label app?

No. Support to the end user (drivers) of the White label apps are done by the customer it self, since it are their customers. The users of the Charge Assist app are our customers, and therefor we need to give support.
